Cadbury ‘retro’ chocolate bar has returned to the UK after being found on sale
A Cadbury’s “retro” chocolate bar has returned to the UK after fans spotted it on sale.
Limited edition bars are usually only available in Australia and New Zealand – and tend to be pricier than the classic versions.
Last week, Facebook and Instagram account Snack News & Reviews tested out the Dairy Milk Caramilk Top Deck, an Aussie bar that combines two retro flavours into one epic treat, the Liverpool Echo reports.
It consists of Dairy Milk topped with Caramilk chocolate and there are a small number of 175g bars available on GB Gifts for £5.99.
The review says the bar is “a nice novelty” and “gives a good mix of creamy sweet caramel flavour and milk chocolate flavour”.
But it adds: “But it’s not quite as amazing as other recent Caramilk spin-offs like Marble or Hokey Pokey.
“I think adding something else to the layers would have made it more exciting.”
The Facebook review attracted many comments, with one person writing: “I need this! A square a night will be ok right?”
Another commented: “Now this one looks interesting.”
One more added: “And the hunt begins. Can’t wait to try that 1!”
Last month, Cadbury brought a new bar – which is only available in Australia – to B&M stores in the UK.
The Neapolitan is described as being a “nostalgic nod to a favourite Australian dessert and a novel take on the ice-cream classic that delivers a unique three-layered bloc.
Instagram user @kevssnackreviews shared a look at the Diary Milk bar on Instagram, writing: “Dairy Milk Neapolitan is now in @bm_stores! Plus Choc Orange Shreddies are back.”
Cadbury fans went wild over the announcement, with one saying: “This chocolate looks so nice.”
Another wrote: “Get me one.”
Someone else added: “I’ve got to find it.”
The Cadbury Neapolitan bars are available on GB Gifts for £6.99.
